Used Motorhome Sale – Get it Inspected Before You Buy it!

Spread the love

Are you looking for a used motorhome sale?  A used RV is a great way to go, and that used RV purchase can save you thousands of dollars!  There are lots of good used motorhomes out there.  There are also some lemons too!

So, when looking at a used motorhome sale, what is the most important thing you can do before you sign the sales contract?  Be sure to inspect a used RV, just like you would have a home inspection done when purchasing your more traditional home!

Used RV Inspection Checklist

Can you find a used RV inspection checklist and do this on your own?  Sure!  There are online resources that show up on YouTube and other Google source searches, but to have the needed acumen to accomplish a thorough RV survey is not something most people can do, nor should they have to!  Leave that to the professionals!

Checking Tires:  It’s More Than Just Their Appearance!

Okay, you found a good used motorhome sale, whether online or at an RV dealer.  You found the RV of your dreams, and you want to be sure it is going to provide you with trouble-free memories.  How can you be sure? Do you trust the dealer that they have disclosed everything about the unit? Did they give it a thorough going over?

What about buying an RV from a source like RV trader?  The buyer will tell you that it is in great shape and it has had constant attention in regard to upkeep.  But most RVers don’t know anything about the systems in their RV!  Therefore they don’t know what the actual condition is for this used motorhome sale.

But, RV’s have a unique situation that makes them different from the traditional sticks and bricks: a house.  When an RV rolls down the road, it is like a mini earthquake inside that RV.  Issues can arise with every mile the RV is driven.  And problems can arise without the owner knowing what’s happening with the RV.

Used Motorhome sale = Inspect a Used RV!

How can we help?  With an NRVIA-certified inspection, you can expect a professionally trained RV inspector to spot the issues that you may not think to look for.  Imagine getting an in-depth, unbiased, and independent inspection of the RV.

Not an RV tech who may be looking to get some work by finding things to fix that are not broken, not a salesman who just wants to close a sale, and not an RV owner who just wants to unload their RV.  Not to be untrusting of folks, but this happens every day!

So, when searching for a used motorhome sale, please consider a used RV inspection and avoid possibly buying a money pit!

Let an NRVIA-certified inspector provide you with a detailed RV inspection report (up to 100 pages), plus or minus, that will let you know exactly what you are buying. Any deficiencies can then be addressed at the point of sale and not afterward when it could cost you big dollars!

We are serving you all across America!

    1. Hi, Stephanie!

Thank you for stopping by our website.

Would you please contact Stephanie with the NRVIA at 855-472-9948. Let her know what town the RV is located in New York and other information she will ask for. She will put out an email to the NRVIA inspectors nationwide to see if an inspector may be traveling into that area.

We bought a used motorhome, took a few short trips with no problems, now it is not cranking, after replacing $500 worth of unneeded parts and going through 3 different mechanics, we are back to square one. It is a 1994 Fleetwood searcher, E350 v8 with a 460 Ford engine. Do you know of anyone who can come to our home and fix it, we are totally lost as to what to do

    1. Hi, Joan!

Sorry to hear that! In RV parks that we stay in, we always seem to notice that there are mobile mechanics that come to the campgrounds and work on RV’s. Perhaps you can check with a local campground and see if they have recommendations for a service like that.

    Hi Howard,
We are looking at buying a Class A used motorhome in Florida. Can you tell me if there are any certified inspecter in zip code 33991
    Thank you
    Pat

    1. Hi, Patti!

Thanks for stopping by our website!

I will also respond to you with my business email. In the summer time, most of our inspectors in Florida travel to locations where clients need inspections. Once you know where the RV is and what level of inspection you desire, we can go about finding an RV inspector to travel to that location.

    Hello, Howard:

Do U inspect Class B motorhomes?
Do U have Inspectors located in Florida, around Tampa/Jacksonville?

I will be traveling to Tampa in a week or two, to , hopefully find a used Class B, in good condition.
Am mostly interested in the Roadtrek 190 Popular and Versatile.
I like the Pleasure Way Excel models, too.

    Thanks,
    Gerry

    1. Greetings Mr. Parker!

Thank you for contacting me via my website!

Yes, we have inspectors in both the Tampa and Jacksonville area. You may contact me directly once you find a Class B that you want to have us inspect. From there I can assist you in deciding what level of inspection you desire us to perform.

      Safe travels!!
