Open up the generator cover and you should find the breakers and a start switch inside the cover. Prime the generator from there and see if you can’t get that to start and keep it running from the generator start switch.
How do you get the axle aligned? The right rear tire on the 20′ TT wear out very fast?
Author
Hi Bob!
You can check axle alignment by measuring from the center of the coupler back diagonally to the center of one of the wheels. Then take the same measurement to the other wheel center. They should be identical or within 1/8 of an inch, give or take 1/16 of an inch. If there is an issue then you should take it to a trailer shop or RV dealership for repair.
I have a 23 ft 1997 nomad skyline travel trailer. We have it hooked up on 30 amp and we don’t have the battery hooked up. We are living in a rv park and we are running the electric. my question is do we need to run the battery and the electric together?? Please us because the fuse box is so hot that it burns our legs if we get close to the vent.

Hi Teresa!
Yes, keep the battery hooked up! The converter is currently running your 12-volt house system and it is stressed because the battery acts as a piggy bank when the 12-volt load is high, and you have it disconnected. If your fuse box is that hot you are in danger of some possible serious issues.
